INFORMATION COLLECTED BY US

When you register for our website, we ask for your email address to be the username for the account. This is required for the purposes of communicating order and website status to you and any non-identifying email address can be used upon request.

You are also asked to provide a password, which is stored securely and not available to anyone within or outside the organization. The password is stored in an encrypted format and can be reset by you at any time without contacting us by visiting the website.

We also ask for the name, address, account #, and zipcode of the organization on whose behalf you are setting up the account, or whose address you have entered for blind-shipping of products. This information is required to do business together and is available only to Medco and its affiliates, vendors, or subsidiaries and not to anyone outside our organization (except in the fulfillment of our obligations to service you or your customer), is only used for the purpose of processing orders, and is never rented, shared, or re-sold by us to a third party.

In the event we are requested to share information by government or law enforcement officials to investigate fraud or other crimes, we follow any legal regulations and/or procedures we are required to follow.

We automatically record non-personal information about your computer and web browser, including IP address, cookies, software versions,  and paths visited on our website.

In general we use this information to provide customized advertising through the content you see on our website or in email broadcasts, to fulfill requests for products/services to you or to your end-customers, and to enhance the quality of service we provide to all customers.

Your privacy is important to MEDCO and its subsidiaries. Our Job Applicant Privacy Statement explains MEDCO commitment to protecting your privacy. Please review this statement before submitting an online job application.

Notice for applicants within the United States: Federal law requires all employers to verify the identity and employment eligibility of all persons hired to work in the United States. MEDCO participates in E-Verify. We will provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), with information from each new employee’s Form I-9 to confirm work authorization. Your application and information, which includes “personal data” submitted while using a website, will be held in confidence and only be used by MEDCO for job application/recruitment purposes, human resources analysis, and employment purposes. Unless legally required to do otherwise, MEDCO will share your data only with those vendors hired to provide employment verification services for MEDCO or MEDCO human resource services providers, but always under conditions of confidentiality. MEDCO will not trade or sell your personal information for use by any other company without your prior consent. The information you submit will be accessible only by the MEDCO personnel involved in the job application and recruitment processes. BY TRANSMITTING INFORMATION TO MEDCO VIA A WEBSITE, YOU EXPLICITLY CONSENT, UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT MEDCO MAY USE THAT INFORMATION FOR JOB APPLICATION/RECRUITMENT, HUMAN RESOURCES ANALYSIS, AND EMPLOYMENT PURPOSES. THIS INCLUDES:

  • Circulating the information to various MEDCO managers and supervisors;
  • Using this information to evaluate you as a candidate for a position with MEDCO;
  • Disclosing the information to MEDCO managers or supervisors who may have a position for which you appear to be qualified.
  • The transmission and storage of your information to a secure data center in the US, managed by an application service provider chosen by MEDCO. This transmission to the US is secured through the application service providers safe harbor certification;
  • If a job offer is extended, your information may also be shared with a MEDCO vendor assisting in the hiring process.
  • Using the information to comply with applicant and workforce reporting requirements as mandated by law

Personal data. Your personal data will be processed during the recruitment process by the MEDCO local affiliate to which you apply for a job position, its affiliates and contracted parties for job application/recruitment purposes, human resources analysis and employment purposes. You have the right of access to your data and the right to rectify and cancel these data, as well as the right to object to the processing of your data. Responses to questions requesting personal data are voluntary if there are no legal requirements. By using a website to apply for a job with MEDCO, you agree that you will not supply personal sensitive data to support your application or as part of your personal profile in our applicant tracking system if it is not clearly demanded to do so. Personal sensitive data could include: racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, religious, party or trade-union membership, as well as data concerning health, genetic code, addictions or sex life and data relating to convictions, decisions on penalty, fines and other decisions issued in court or administrative proceedings.

Information Collected by Placing a “Cookie” On Your Computer. The job application website utilized by MEDCO may use “session cookies.” A session cookie is used to tag your computer with a computer-generated, unique identifier when you access the site. A session cookie does not identify you personally and expires after you close your browser. Session cookies may be used to collect statistical information about the ways visitors use a site.

Access to Personal Information. At any time, you may review, correct and update the personal information that you provide to us on the job search site by logging in with your user name and password and then by clicking the “My Presence” link and navigating to “Personal Information.”

Nevada Residents

Under Nevada SB 220, Nevada residents may submit an opt-out request regarding the sale of their Personally Identifiable Information (PII) collected through a website or online service.  If you are a Nevada resident and would like to make such a request, please contact us at the address listed on this page.

Under California Civil Code sections 1798.83–1798.84 California residents may request the names and addresses of affiliated companies and categories of Personal Information we share for their direct marketing purposes. UPDATES TO THIS POLICY

This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time. In the case of any material changes to this policy, we will notify our customers in at least one of the following ways: 

  • Notification of Policy Change via email to the address listed with us
  • Notification of Policy Change via message on our website’s main landing page

In either case we will provide a link to the updated policy changes with descriptions of the change.
